This morning we were privileged to be at The Savoy, photographing a UJIA Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) Business Breakfast featuring guest speaker David Bernstein.
UJIA stands for the United Jewish Israel Appeal, in the UK they strengthen young people’s knowledge, faith and Jewish identity through a meaningful connection with Israel. Each year to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, UJIA hold a large Business Breakfast with a top class speaker, this year being no exception as David Bernstein is the current Chairman of the Football Association, and former Chairman of French Connection, Ted Baker and Manchester City.
It was a wonderful event, all for a great cause, with David Bernstein speaking interestingly about his Chairmanship of the Football Association and all that it entails, including the England under-21 team competing in Israel this summer, and the senior squad’s visit to Auschwitz in Poland during the previous European Championships. The Ambassador of Israel to the UK, Daniel Taub, also gave an entertaining and poignant address on Israel’s birthday.
