Music: Jon Kenzie at The Bedford

By

Last night, we were privileged to be invited along to hear the amazing Jon Kenzie play a few songs at a legendary venue called The Bedford in Balham, south London. Having been regularly going to live music gigs around London for the past six years, we’ve heard our fair share of emerging artists – from Jamie Woon to Ed Sheeran, and Portico Quartet to Newton Faulkner. Sometimes, you stumble across a diamond in the rough, and Jon Kenzie is certainly a diamond.

A Manchester-based songwriter who gigs all around the world, with tonnes of soul and a voice to make even the most critical judge of vocals sit back and feel honoured, Jon is the real deal. To find out more about Jon, and probably wonder why you’ve never heard him before, go to… http://www.jonkenzie.com

The Bedford itself is a brilliant venue. A massive pub in a stand alone building, complete with mini ‘Globe Theatre’, live comedy, dance classes, great food, a massive range of live music, day festivals and numerous other activities… it’s a pub like very few others. We’ve been lucky enough in the last few years to photograph lots of live music there hosted by OneTaste, which we’ll blog about as we delve deeper into our archives. In the meantime, here are a few of our favourites of Jon Kenzie…
