We had a fantastic time at Lauren and Daniel’s amazing wedding at The Savoy yesterday. In the few months since meeting this madly-in-love couple for the first time, through the Engagement Shoot and subsequent planning meetings, we absolutely knew this would be a wedding to remember.

There are a few key elements involved in making a wedding the extremely special day that everyone hopes it will be. Of course, the main one is love. Palpable love between a Bride and Groom, and the love that every single guest showers upon them on the biggest day of their lives. Lauren and Daniel’s wedding exuded love from every guest on every table.

With the love firmly in place, a few other elements helped to make the wedding unforgettable. First off, the location. There aren’t many places we’d rather be photographing events than The Savoy. As their website perfectly describes… “An iconic hotel brilliantly reinvented for the 21st century where an unashamedly old fashioned glamour sparkles with a new lustre.” There aren’t many more beautiful ballrooms in the world.

The event was produced by the brilliant Just Seventy Creative Events, who like us are based in Elstree. With the room looking stunning and the huge lighting rigs in place, Just Seventy provided a DJ Live set which kept everyone dancing like maniacs all night. One of the highlights of their set was the captivating Anna Phoebe, the ‘vixen of the violin’. The last time I saw Anna play was with Oi Va Voi at Glastonbury a few years back, and guests at Lauren and Daniel’s wedding were treated to Anna playing incredible gypsy rock around the ballroom… a real treat.

The evening was kept beautifully ticking over by dynamic toastmaster Jamie Paskin, one of the youngest on the block, and always a pleasure to work with. If you’re planning a wedding, hiring a toastmaster for the evening is often a good call, making sure everything runs to plan.
