This morning it was my pleasure to work with Jewish Care, photographing a Business Breakfast at Claridge’s with guest speaker Antony Jenkins, Group Chief Executive of Barclays. These types of events always mean an early and productive start to the day, the best type of start.

The event, sposored by Linklaters, was held at Claridge’s, an iconic London establishment and Mayfair’s Art Deco jewel. It was actually the first time I’ve photographed an event there, and I’d certainly love to work there again. And again. The purpose of the morning was to raise funds for Jewish Care’s vital work with the most vulnerable members of society, especially in times of financial hardship for many organisations, including charities and those involved in welfare. Guests were treated to an insightful talk from Antony Jenkins, and also to an amazing breakfast by top caterer Tony Page. Breakfasts don’t come any better.

In terms of the photography, the intention was to:

• Ensure there are shots of the guests speaker with committee members.
• Photograph every individual speaker.
• Create an overall record of the event through images.
• Identify key individuals, in attendance were Sky News’ City Editor Mark Kleinman and the first President of Jewish Care (1990-1997) Lord Young.
