Preview: Aimee and Steve’s Amazing Syon Park Wedding
ByLast night, we arrived back at the office at 03:00, after shooting Aimee and Steve’s incredible wedding at London Syon Park. Having started our day at 10:30 at Aimee’s family home, it was a long but very uplifting and exciting day… thanks to Aimee’s parents Judith and Charles for the repeated offers of food, and a truly excellent cappuccino!
Since I first met up with this brilliant couple to discuss their wedding photography, it was clear that this wedding would contain a wonderful mix of emotion, excitement, and humour. So moving was the ceremony, that I was wiping away a few tears from behind the camera! The evening party was kept going at a frantic pace by the energy of all the guests, who were entertained by consummate function band Creation.
Kudos must go to the Best Men, who made a speech encouraging a ‘Key Amnesty’; that any guests who Steve had given a key to his London flat step forward and relinquish it. We couldn’t stop laughing as about 25 women stepped forward to the dance-floor to throw ‘their key to Steve’s flat’ in a bucket, followed finally by the toastmaster… “but you only met him today Steve!”
Our day finished after a late night portrait shoot around the hotel, being practically force fed by Aimee’s grandma in the hotel lounge… “you must eat some cake”. Even at 02:00 we were made to feel so welcome by everyone, especially Aimee and Steve – a great couple who are so madly in love with each other, they were an absolute joy to be around.
So many pictures to choose from, but here are a few previews we sent to the couple:
