We were recently contacted by the Chairman of Norstar London Raiders, Jonathan Adelman, who wanted an inspirational way to mark the merger of North London Raiders FC and Norstar FC as well as the launch of the new Raiders 13-15 kits emblazoned with the logo of new sponsor HarrisBalcombe. Despite Norstar Raiders not being a professional team (playing in the Premier Division of the MFSL) they wanted some seriously professional shots, bringing attention grabbing drama to the image.

The shoot itself was a lot of fun, five players came into Elstree Photo Studios for the evening and we shot them in a number of different ways, giving our own post-production team maximum flexibility when it came to the editing process. We decided on some pretty edgy lighting, with a bit of aggression thrown in too… just to make sure the other teams in the division quake in their boots!

It must be said that the guys are naturally polite and pretty well mannered, so it took some encouragement to make them shout obscenities at the top of their voice at me, clicking away behind the camera. We’re very happy with how the shoot turned out, a big well done to Steph for some brilliant work in the post-production studio too.

Chairman Adelman commented to us “the results far exceeded our expectations, they look exceptional, the boys loved being part of a professional shoot and it’s proved a great way to showcase and promote HarrisBalcombe.” Good luck to Norstar Raiders in the coming season, and if you’re part of a football team who wants a session in our studio, get in touch.
