Match Of The Daves: UJIA at The Jewish Museum
ByLast night we photographed a fascinating event, at least for those interested in football! To mark the opening of a new exhibition called Four Four Jew at the Jewish Museum in Camden, north London, our wonderful clients UJIA organised an evening with four prominent Davids, aptly entitled ‘Match Of The Daves’.
The four ‘Daves’ in question were:
- David Bernstein, former Chairman of the Football Association and of Manchester City.
- David Davies, broadcaster and former Executive Director of the Football Association.
- David Dein, former vice-chairman of Arsenal and former vice-chairman of the Football Association.
- David Pleat, commentator and former manager of Tottenham Hotspur and Luton Town.
These guys are big guns in the world of football, being intensely knowledgable about so many issues and giving the inside scoop to all those present, whilst entertainingly telling a few irreverent stories too. Guests were then invited to go upstairs to the exhibition, which features some amazing artefacts, as well as audio and visual presentations about the Jewish community’s rich intertwined history with British football.
UJIA work to strengthen young people’s knowledge, faith and Jewish identity through a meaningful connection with Israel. In northern Israel, they support education, professional training and academic programmes to enable a positive future for all residents of the Galil, whatever their faith.
