Care Visit: Andy Burnham MP At Jewish Care

By

Yesterday we were privileged to photograph Shadow Secretary of State for Health, Andy Burnham MP, as he visited the incredible Jewish Care facilities in Golders Green, alongside Labour’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Finchley and Golders Green, Sarah Sackman. This was the second time we’ve photographed Mr. Burnham and again he came across as genuinely working hard for improvement in the care sector.

The esteemed visitors were shown around by Jewish Care’s CEO, Simon Morris, and Director of Care and Community Services, Neil Taylor. With these brief visits, it’s important as a photographer to document the trip in as unobtrusive a manner as possible, so as not to detract from the key important messages being put across. Andy Burnham was massively impressed with what he saw, and seemed somewhat taken aback by the fact that Jewish Care has 3600 volunteers!

The visit included a glimpse of the dementia care being offered around the clock at Otto Schiff, and also the amazingly smart independent living facilities in Selig Court. Here are a few of our favourite images from the afternoon…
