For the second year running, our team have been covering events at the prestigious Innovate Israel conference in central London, bringing together some amazingly forward thinking startups and numerous successful high tech investors.

This time around we were at three different events, starting off with the Chairman’s Reception at the top of the BT Tower. It was the first time we had worked in a rotating location before, which proved to be a pretty unique experience!  The Chairman, and host-with-the-most, was ubiquitous legendary Israeli high-tech guru, Yossi Vardi – a man as hilarious as he is intelligent.

The conference itself took place at the Hilton Park Lane, and featured a blend of speeches, software showcases, on-stage conversation, networking events and private luncheons. There were many notable guests, including HE Ambassador Daniel Taub, who is always entertaining whilst delivering a powerful message every time he takes the microphone. It is incredible to see just how many pieces of technology we rely on in our daily lives have been developed in Israel’s unique high-tech sector, and equally incredible to think of how many more pieces of Israeli software will no doubt shape our future. Israel really does punch above it’s weight, bringing so much innovation to the world. With representatives from companies such as Orange, Google, Warner Bros, WIRED Magazine, Zynga, Conde Nast International, Stylus, Net a Porter, ITV, Horizons Ventures, Pulse Films, eToro, Pearson eLearning, this was a truly global get together.

Our day ended up photographing the after party, at the bar in the super cool W Hotel in Leicester Square. At this point, formality was forgotten as delegates chatted the night away and enjoyed a few drinks together.
