Last night our team were at JW3 to photograph a fascinating event taking place in the Main Hall. It was the second Jewish Chronicle Editor’s Choice event, featuring a conversation between Stephen Pollard and historian Simon Schama.

Currently a Professor of History and Art History at Columbia University, New York, Simon is perhaps best known amongst Jewish audiences for his recent five-part series on the BBC, The Story of The Jews. It was a truly memorable evening, punctuated by some unique story-telling and openness. As Stephen Pollard said in his closing remarks, interviewing Simon is such a pleasure as you only need to switch him on and press go!

Many of the guests in the audience stayed behind to have their books signed by Simon Schama, who was more than happy to chat with everyone about Jewish life, personal family connections and of course Jewish history as he signed away.
