An Intimate Affair: Ruby and Oliver’s Sikh Jewish Wedding
ByOn Saturday evening we photographed a truly spectacular occasion, as Ruby and Oliver were married in a beautiful ceremony at the gorgeously tucked away and uber-exclusive 30 Pavillion Road, Knightsbridge.
This was an unusual affair for us, as with Ruby and Oliver living across the pond in Boston, we’d not had the chance to meet them face-to-face before the day itself, but they were so welcoming and so relaxed that everyone felt as if they’d known each other for years. Ruby is Sikh and Oliver is Jewish, so the ceremony took place under a Chuppah and included numerous traditions from both Sikhism and Judaism. This was beautiful and unique for all those present, bonding together not only a couple, but their families and their faiths too.
The ceremony was followed by a reception, whilst we took a few group shots of Ruby and Oliver with their families, and then a lovely dinner with a few heartfelt and humorous speeches. Then all the guests came back downstairs for a party, with music ranging from traditional Indian melodies to dancehall classic ‘Heads High’ by Mr. Vegas, and everything in between! It was a truly wonderful day.
Here are a few of our favourite images from the evening…
