On Sunday our team were extremely privileged to photograph a wonderful occasion, as Claire married Matt at Gibson Hall in the City of London. Built in 1862 as the Head Office of the National Provincial Bank of England, this historic venue really is a spectacular place in which to marry… and have a massive party! Blake and Steph were our primary photographers on Sunday, whilst Charlotte, one of our fantastic apprentices, came along to assist and take a few shots too. 

Our day started early, meeting Matt who along with a few friends and family went for a cooked breakfast to begin his big day on a wholesome note. The sun was shining brightly all day, it really felt like mid-Summer in London. It was then off to Claire’s family home to spend some time with the Bride and all her bridesmaids in the run up to the ceremony. Big thanks to the Lerner family for repeated offers of food and drink through the day!

We first met Claire in her role as Capital and Key Gifts Co-ordinator at Jewish Care, a wonderful charity with whom we’re proud to be associated – with plenty of events on this blog. There were many familiar faces from Jewish Care at the wedding… all there to celebrate, eat, drink and dance with Claire and Matt. The day was truly incredible – so many laughs were had by all, and there were very emotional moments too. Mixed Feelings played some great songs throughout the evening, ensuring that all the guests partied the night away to everything from classic Hebrew songs to Blurred Lines, tracks from The Blues Brothers, and everything in between.

It was great as always to work with Toastmaster Neil Hunt, who having officiated over 2,500 events all around the world, really is the consummate professional. Another bonus for our team was to work alongside videographer Charlotte Armitage for the third time – her creative eye and uplifting personality really endear her to clients and fellow event professionals alike.

Our day ended about an hour after the guests had gone, doing a few late night portraits of Claire and Matt in the City of London, which we think were well worth nearly getting run over for – as some involved our whole team standing in the middle of the road holding cameras and light stands! Claire and Matt are awesome together and a pleasure to be around, it’s clear for everyone to see that they’re madly in love and will spend many many years smiling and giggling together!
