Preview: Danielle and Jon’s Stunning Rosewood Wedding
ByWell, this wedding simply had it all… an awesome Bride and Groom, incredible moments, wonderful people, ludicrous amounts of whiskey, an uber-stunning venue, a gorgeous roof terrace, a cigar-smoking zebra, loads more whiskey, a proper after-party, and the finest teams of event professionals bringing it all together. Danielle and Jon were married at The Rosewood on Sunday, and what a day it was. Our team had been looking forward to this one for a very long time, and it surpassed all expectations.
Let’s start off with the truly breathtaking setting of The Rosewood, a new London hotel with countless surprises, luxurious touches, doormen in traditional hunting gear, and intriguing pieces of conversational art at every turn. If any of our readers have the chance to pop in, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Our day started off with Danielle, surrounded by family and friends in a beautiful suite as she got ready for the big day ahead. The Chuppah and Ballroom were graced with incredible floral designs by the extremely talented Rob Van Helden and his team – a man who Elton John refers to as a “genius”.
The ceremony itself was conducted by Dayan Binstock, and what an honour it was for him to be present. Guests were treated to music during the ceremony by everybody’s favourite South African accountant-turned-Chazzan, Steven Leas. A nicer man you couldn’t wish to meet, and his stirring vocals under the Chuppah really ramped up an already emotional moment. The evening saw a massive party, guests being treated to exceptional musical entertainment by the super-impressive Gilev Showband.
Guests were treated to the finest food and event co-ordination courtesy of the one and only Tony Page and his meticulous team – who we also thank for making sure our own team were all fed and watered! Behind the scenes too were our friends from Uptown Events, bringing detailed planning, glow-sticks and after-party madness to proceedings. A big thank you must also go to the brilliant Kelly Hunt, Director of Romance at The Rosewood, for helping with our preparations for the day.
Also like us, in the camp of ‘having absolutely no impact on the wedding day but so much importance afterwards’ were the videographers – the team from Gavsy Media. These guys are always great to work with, with more nifty contraptions than a gadget show, and smiles as wide as Cheshire cats. From our occassional glances at the back of their cameras, we know the film they produce will be absolutely stunning.
A massive Mazal Tov again to both families. It’s always difficult to choose shots so quickly to go into a preview blog, but on early inspection here are some of our favourites…
