On Sunday our team of Amanda and Blake were truly honoured to be involved in Katie and Joel’s magnificent wedding at Corinthia Hotel London, right next to the banks of the River Thames. This stunning Victorian location, built in 1885, played host to a truly emotional and energy-packed day as friends and family celebrated with this wonderful couple.
Our day started off photographing Katie in a beautiful room at Corinthia as she got ready to marry Joel. On hand were Christine Savva and Tamara Gitter, tending to everyone’s hair and makeup before the ceremony began.
Planned meticulously by our talented friends at JustSeventy, they seemed to make a stunning venue even more stunning and perfect for such a romantic and heartfelt occasion. The ceremony was conducted underneath an amazing Chuppah decorated by top floral artists McQueens, whose centre-pieces also added even more decadence to the Ballroom. The ceremony itself was truly emotional, it was such a pleasure to witness so many loving glances between Katie and Joel at such close quarters- true love, being affirmed in front of their nearest and dearest.
The party was fuelled not only by the wonderful energy from everyone present, but by incredible musicianship and top entertainment from our friends at Creation Showband, whose unique takes on many well known songs are simply amazing. A special mention must go to Katie’s brother Ollie. We don’t know what he does professionally, but judging by his performance on the microphone a career in presenting could be on the cards! Also on-site were the videography team from Atmotion, with whom it’s always a pleasure to work. A quick thanks also to Hannah and her team at Corinthia, who went above and beyond the call of duty whilst assisting with locations for photography – it makes all the difference.
Once the party was over, we headed out for a little stroll around the local area for a few more pictures. Somehow, after hours of dancing, Katie and Joel still managed to look like they’d just gotten ready! We wish a huge Mazal Tov to this special couple, and both families. It was a true honour for us to be involved. Here are some of our favourite shots…
