Love at Claridges: Katie and Leon
ByHaving already photographed one wedding for this very special family, it was a real pleasure to come back for another. Our team were on hand to see Katie marry Leon, in a truly stunning ceremony at New West End Synagogue followed by a gorgeous lunch and afternoon celebration at uber-stylish Claridges in London’s Mayfair. Amanda, Blake, James and Leela were on the scene to ensure this special day was photographed beautifully.
This was a classy and elegant affair, with many moments of huge emotion. It’s clear to see that Katie and Leon are a handsome pair, but beyond that their warm nature and authenticity is a pleasure to be around. It was obvious that they and their families are held in high esteem by all the guests present, and it’s easy to see why. Katie told us that in her professional life she runs a high-end fashion photography studio, managing photographers and looking through thousands of images every week, so if there wasn’t any pressure to deliver very special shots, that provided some!
It was a pleasure as always to work alongside the magnificent Kelly Hunt, now in her role as Deputy Director of Events at Claridges. There are very few people as professional, organised and reassuring to be around on a wedding day as Kelly. Incredible floral artistry was provided by Aime Bone Flowers, not only at Claridges but also in creating a magnificent Chuppah from twisted willow, cherry blossom, and cascading white wisteria – truly stunning. Behind the video cameras were our talented friends from Gavsy Media, who we love working alongside. Synergy between photographers and videographers is very important, it means that each team can fulfil their potential, achieving the very best results for the couple, and creating something beautiful.
Mazal Tov to Katie and Leon and both families, here are a few of our favourite images from a wonderful day…
