Having gotten married in an intimate ceremony in Antigua, Carla and Doug returned to the UK and put on a big party for their family and friends to celebrate with them. This special evening was held in Shoreditch Studios, and our team of Amanda, Blake and James were thrilled to be there to cover it.

Carla and Doug (along with their wonderful families) not only exuded great tans and golden glows from their recent trip to the Caribbean, but they exuded such warmth towards us and towards everyone who had come to celebrate with them. This was a true pleasure to photograph, a relaxed and fun celebration with a few brief yet heartfelt speeches, compered expertly by Carla’s brother Darren. The party exploded in a big way, with Carla and Doug’s many friends all set on having a great time.

Shoreditch Studios is a super-cool space. It was made to look beautiful too, by Simon and the production team at Creation Musical Services, whose DJ Live act rocked the party all night with a playlist so eclectic it genuinely provided for everyone. Truly incredible floral arrangements were provided by the incredibly elegant Mary Jane Vaughan, bringing a wonderful softness and a gorgeous hint of nature to a very urban space. A sumptuous yet relaxed buffet was provided by our friends at Philip Small Caterers and Event Planners. Behind the video cameras were the team from Leeds-based Mulhern Media, who were were working alongside for the first time.
