Last night our team of Amanda and Blake were truly privileged to photograph the inaugural Annual Dinner of TAL, founded by the inspirational Rabbi Jonathan Tawil who alongside his wife Raya strive towards the mission of uniting the Jewish community and providing enriching activities for young people. TAL is an exciting organisation with a vision of enhancing the lives of young professionals. This landmark event, held at The Lancaster London near Hyde Park, was a truly special evening.
Featuring wonderful Sephardi music from Eli Tamir as well as a welcome performance from the TAL Choir, an incredible address by our good friend Rabbi Joseph Dweck, Senior Rabbi of the S&P Sephardi Community, more whisky than seemed possible, and the giving of beautiful Shabbat travel candlesticks as a leaving gift, TAL hosted a night to remember.
In the words of another inspirational figure with whom we are privileged to work, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, creating “a vibrant Jewish community both in the UK and around the world that makes space for everyone from across the religious and political spectrum is so vitally important. We must develop a Judaism unafraid to engage with the world, one that is inspires young people to not only connect with their Jewish roots but to play an active role in wider society as well. This is what TAL is doing so successfully.”
TAL has the feeling of an organisation which will shape the future, a modern movement connecting to young people in the Jewish community in a cool yet meaningful way. On the professional side, it was a pleasure as always to work alongside Simon, Deanna, Sarah and the whole team from Inspire, as well as consummate Toastmaster Steven Warwick FNAT – a man we see so often, we are practically inseparable! We are honoured to have been at this wonderful event, and wish TAL every success in their endeavours and an almighty Shana Tova. Here are a few of our favourite images…
