Yesterday evening we were back with a very special charity, Norwood, as they hosted a magnificent Annual Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel. On the ground from our team were Amanda, Blake, Leela and Tegan… doing their best to cover every moment whilst creating beautiful images of the many esteemed guests in attendance. It was lovely for us to see so many dear friends and clients in the room, coming together to support a magnificent cause.
Amongst many wonderful speeches, guests were also treated to an incredibly dynamic film about Norwood and the vulnerable people who rely on this inspirational organisation; the film was produced by creative genius Malcolm Green at Green Cave People. Guests including the Chief Rabbi, the Israeli Ambassador, Lords and Ladies and many other dignitaries, gave a standing ovation to one of the people featured in the film, Rebecca Lane. Rebecca stood in front of the packed room and spoke about her personal story, she was abandoned at 14 and taken in by her Aunt and Uncle. With assistance from Norwood’s Social Work Team, she is now completing her Masters in Chemistry and looking towards taking a PHD in the future – a true inspiration to others who have faced struggle in their childhood.
The keynote discussion on stage was chaired by none other than TV’s very own Judge Rinder, who spoke with so much humour and eloquence. Joining him on stage were the wonderful Darcey Bussell, one of the greatest English Ballerinas of all time and now a judge on national treasure, Strictly Come Dancing. Next to her was Michelle Nahum, a young person who with the help of Norwood has overcome tragic personal circumstances to be the very best she can be. On the final armchair was inspirational athlete Greg Rutherford, an Olympic Gold medalist long jumper. The discussion was truly inspirational, steered with panache by Judge Rinder.
Norwood are a very special organisation, who do so much for so many people in need. It is an absolute honour for our team to have been involved with the Annual Dinner yesterday, and we look forward to many more. A massive well done should go to Carol Sopher, the amazing Chairperson of the Annual Dinner, and of course all of Norwood’s professional and voluntary teams. It was a pleasure as always to work alongside our friends at Tony Page, who ensured guests were treated to fine cuisine and hospitality throughout the event.
Here are some of our favourite images from a wonderful evening…
