A little while back, we posted a preview from such a brilliant evening, called No Place Like Home: Luke’s Wonderful Bar Mitzvah. Amanda and Blake were on the scene for a truly great party at the family home in London.

This was a crazy party with everyone determined to have a memorable time, but also an evening where everybody genuinely came together to celebrate the young man that Luke has become – intelligent, well mannered, funny and independent – a true role model for his younger brother and sister.

From our perspective, this family were not ‘regular clients’, if there is such a thing. Karen is a talented designer (as well as being more than useful with a camera), and Howard is an incredibly successful photographer, who has been a supportive mentor to Blake over the years. More than a few guests leaned over and whispered “gosh, you’re brave”, with facial expressions that perfectly straddled the lines of pity and encouragement. We loved every minute.

Mazal Tov again to this incredibly warm family, to Karen and Howard, and of course to Luke and his siblings Chloe and Oliver. Here are some of our favourite black and white shots from a fantastic evening…
