Mandap to the Dancefloor: Pooja and Shai’s Electrifying Indian Wedding
ByPooja and Shai’s wedding was nothing short of a whirlwind of energy, from the meaningful moments under the Mandap, to the emotional Jaan when Pooja’s family say goodbye as she begins her new married life, to the absolute craziness on the dance floor all night. The day took place in the spacious Heston Hyde Hotel, in west London, with some portraits of our gorgeous Bride and Groom in nearby Syon Park.
We first met Pooja when photographing her brother Sagar’s wedding to Tulsi two years ago, when our first reaction was that she was extremely warm and an amazing dancer… as most the family seemed to be! We were thrilled to be back with this amazing family and it has been wonderful getting to know Pooja and Shai in the run up to their wedding, including during their central London pre wedding shoot with Blake.
Pooja and Shai’s ceremony under a stunning Mandap was deeply moving, with so many moments of tradition and so many moments of emotion. It was officiated with depth, humour and meaningful explanation by the one and only Hindu Priest Kamal Pandey.
The creative and professional team for this wedding included our award-winning friends at Qube Events bringing all the production together. Dramatic videography was provided by Sachin Parmar and his talented team, whilst music for the party was absolutely awesome courtesy of the always-on-point Kudos Music. The beautiful wedding cake was made by CakesNBakes.
We wish Pooja and Shai a huge congratulations. It was an honour for us to share this special event with them and with their families. It is said that to see what a wedding photography team can do, ask to see many shots from one wedding as opposed to one shot from many weddings, so without further a do here are some of our images from an amazing wedding…
