You’d be instantly forgiven for mistaking Jake’s Bar Mitzvah celebration for some kind of Hollywood bash, with glitz and glamour at every turn. Held at such an iconic venue, The Grove, the boys and men looked dapper in black tie, whilst the ladies looked sensational in their gowns.

Planned to perfection by our friends at Uptown Events, as guests entered the Ballroom it looked like we’ve never seen it before. The walls were fully draped in navy blue creating an amazing simplicity which allowed everything else to shine even brighter, there were custom ‘J’ shaped ice buckets on every table housing sublime toffee vodka, and the glamorous violinist standing on the bar as the excitement built and jaws dropped. It was all very cool.

Yes, this looked incredible, but the evening was about more than that. This was a celebration of Jake’s coming-of-age and it was such a delight for our team to be there. Jake was so natural on camera, but also so warm and well-mannered too – it is easy to see why he is loved by his many friends and his adoring family. There was a lot of love in the room, for Jake and his entire family – so many people celebrated as though it were their own child’s Bar Mitzvah, which was wonderful to see.

A particular highlight, among many, was Jake’s speech – done in the style of “An Evening With…” Jake fielded questions from various friends and members of his family, and gave hysterical answers to each – delivered perfectly.

Behind the video cameras were our close friends, the talented team from Gavsy Creative Media. We know the film they create from the party will be astonishing. Guests sat down to a fine meal by Jason Millan, with plentiful delicious Sushi at the reception beforehand and a super-fun donut wall along with vintage hotdog stand as the evening wound down.
