By Royal Appointment: Israel’s 70th at The Royal Albert Hall
ByThis week our team were honoured to be the official and exclusive photographers for ‘Platinum’: Israel 70th at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. We witnessed incredible performances by some wonderful acts, as well as stirring words from numerous dignitaries and VIPs, all in the presence of HRH Prince of Wales, who also celebrates his own 70th Birthday this week.
We had been looking forward to this very special event for a long time, and amongst our brief was to cover HRH Prince of Wales meeting VIPs in the Royal Retiring Room, with dignitaries including Chief Rabbi and Valerie Mirvis, Ambassador Mark Regev, UJIA Chair Louise Jacobs, JLC Chairperson Jonathan Goldstein, Natan Sharansky, Rt. Hon David Lidington and Israel Maimon the President of Israel Bonds.
We were also tasked with showing the scale of this amazing evening, alongside the intimate moments of joy, expression and creativity. Our team covered every inch of the venue from the Queen’s Box to the artist’s bar backstage, and from the ‘pit’ at the front to the galleries up high.
The event was compered wonderfully by ‘Judge’ Rob Rinder, and on stage with incredible performances were the Gilad Ephram Ensemble, the spell-binding Vertigo dancers and the achingly cool Balkan Beat Box featuring AWA, Gili and Shai Tsabari. A huge well done to everyone involved in organising this landmark occasion – especially Natasha Glass, Juliet Simmons and Josephine Burton who have spent months planning every fine detail.
Here are some of our favourite images from a magnificent evening…
