Amongst the outlandish decorations of The Crazy Bear in Steadhampton, a love story played out between two beautiful women, Nikki and Einav. This was our first ever same sex wedding, and there was a real drama and emotion as both Brides came together for the first time in the aisle, both with beaming smiles, both wearing similar wedding dresses despite never discussing it with each other.

To be in close proximity to the Chuppah as Nikki and Einav looked towards one another, as they smashed the glass(es) together and as they embraced, was simply magical.

In this most quintessentially eccentric of British arenas, so many moments took place to mark the marriage of these two special people, from their dogs walking down the aisle to the incredible musical performances of TOTEM and ROME. From touching moments under the Chuppah to a whole crowd in Oxfordshire screaming “Tel Aviv Ya Habibi Tel Aviv.” From the ‘Love is Love’ menu cards to the hotel reception actually being inside a double decker bus… this was a day of colour and character.

Nikki and Einav came together, flanked by their families and steeped in their cultures, as the Brits and the Israelis set out to have the most amazing celebration of love. As we approach the Pride London parade tomorrow, it seems even more fitting to be sharing these beautiful moments.
