Simply Stunning: Sarah and Josh at The Savoy
ByHaving first photographed Sarah and Josh way back at Josh’s sister Laura’s wedding to Mark in 2013, even then it was quite clear that these two were very much in love. Purely for the sake of nostalgia, here are a couple of shots of this happy couple from that happy day, with a guest appearance from cousin Charlie too…
Many things have changed since that day in 2013. Over the years we have gotten to know both families well, and we’ve looked forward to Sarah and Josh’s wedding for a long time.
‘On the ground’ at The Savoy from our team were Meheer, Danny and Soven, who gave their all to capture as many of these fleeting moments, as beautifully as possible. What transpired was a breathtaking day in the elegant surroundings of this iconic space, one of our very favourite places to be. The gorgeous interior was somehow made to look even more gorgeous by the genius of Simon Lycett, whose team dressed every space with beautiful floral artistry, including a flower wall later on in the evening for photos… and selfies! Banana Split took charge of production, lighting up the space beautifully to create the perfect feel as guests entered.
Despite all the trimmings of luxury, this day was about the love, about the feeling in the room, about family and friends, about the moment Bob saw his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time, about Sarah and Josh being serenaded under the Chuppah by our close friends Rabbi Marc Levene and Josh’s cousin Jamie Gordon. It was about the explosions of joy and tight embraces when Josh smashed the glass. It was about the meaningful words from the esteemed Rabbi Dweck, Rabbi Elia and Rabbi Levy, and the incredible soulful Chazanut from Adam Muzikant.
On the professional side, an incredible team came together to make this day a reality, and to capture every moment. Alongside our team were our friends from Imaginarium Cinematography, guests were looked after by the consummate team from Tony Page who tended to every detail whilst serving up fine cuisine all day, Simon Lycett made everything even more beautiful, Sensation Band ensure the dancefloor was full all evening whilst Dom Peter was Master of Ceremonies for the evening!
We know how loved both families are within their communities, and how much each family contributes to those around them, so this really was about celebrating Sarah and Josh and showering them, and their families, with so much love and admiration.
Mazal Tov to the Shemtobs and the Naglis, and of course to the beautiful couple, Sarah and Josh. Here are some of our favourite images from an incredible day…
