Sunflowers and Smiles: Renate and Ben at Luton Hoo
ByThere were so many happenings which made Renate and Ben’s wedding utterly remarkable.
The beatboxing during Sheva Brachot was the coolest thing ever, the fact that the Bride’s brother, the enigmatic Rabbi Sam Fromson, officiated the wedding made it extremely personal and touching. Ben’s references to the Shema in his speech were beautiful, whilst so many guests flying in from all over the world made the day even more historic.
But more than any of this was the palpable energy from the moment Renate and Ben both smashed the glasses under the Chuppah, and their incredible friends simply exploded with joy on a scale we haven’t witnessed many times before. They were sprinting around the Chuppah, singing at the top of their lungs, hair flying everywhere, arms flailing… this was how the day continued and was a sign of what was to come on the dancefloor.
Renate and Ben are joyous and inspiring people to spend time with. Their smiles are utterly infectious and they are so much fun, yet clearly alongside this playful nature is a serious desire to do the right thing, to be the best they can be, to help others and make a positive impact in the world.
We feel so privileged to be with Renate and Ben and their amazing families. Mazal Tov to everyone, here is the story of a remarkable day at Luton Hoo…
