Ruth and Zain: The Morning After
ByRuth and Zain were married yesterday in a beautiful ceremony at St. Michael’s Church, in the gorgeous East Midlands village of Sutton Bonnington. Blake was on the scene to capture every moment, as they celebrated with family and friends late into the night at the stunning Sutton Bonnington Hall.
We first came across this wonderful pair at the PWC Pantomime, which we are honoured to photograph each year in London. Zain was Spike the punk rat with a multi-coloured mohawk, and Ruth was Peter Pan flying high above the stage at The Peacock Theatre. Indeed, here they are, meet the Bride and Groom…
As we approached the wedding, we thought it may be a good idea to spend some quality time with Ruth and Zain, away from the lycra and bright lights of the West End stage, so a pre-wedding shoot in East Dulwich was a great way to do that.
Back to the PWC Panto, it seems to have played a big role in Ruth and Zain coming together, and it was great to see so many familiar faces at the wedding, albeit dressed somewhat more formally than we’ve seen them before. It wasn’t uncommon to look up at the dance floor and see at least twenty people break out into a spontaneous but perfectly choreographed dance routine, whilst singing harmonies and backing vocals to whichever song the band were playing!
This was a wedding of family and friends, of authentic Indonesian dancing, of awesome music, of exquisite food by Coghlans, and of a simply wonderful atmosphere created by the warmth of an amazing couple. Good morning Ruth and Zain, thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your special day yesterday. There were so many special moments, but in the meantime we hope you enjoy this tiny taster of what’s to come…
