Winter Wedding Inspiration: Badrutt’s Palace, St. Moritz
ByAs we approach the back end of 2013 and winter is just around the corner, it takes us back to last December to show you all some wonderful Winter Wedding inspiration. In December 2012 I flew out with our team to uber-exclusive St. Moritz in Switzerland, to photograph the epic wedding of an American high-tech mogul and a Swedish aristocrat.
This three day affair was simply magnificent on every level. Due to the profile of many guests present the wedding pictures will never be published online, but for the purposes of inspiration we will show some pictures of the stunning ballroom at Badrutt’s Palace, and their decorations. The ballroom was decorated as a winter wonderland with white floral pedestals, pine trees around the room sprinkled with dry snow, pine cones on each table place, imposing candelabras and frosted tea-lights.
One other thing we really loved, and were told this is a Swedish tradition, is the low bench seat (pictured) opposite the Bride and Groom at the top table, available for guests to visit the top table, and sit chatting comfortably to the Bride and Groom for a few minutes. A great idea! Utterly beautiful, we hope you enjoy these photographs…
