Coming Of Age: Aaron’s Bar Mitzvah
ByWorking with special people and getting to know inspirational families is a wonderful part of what we do, and we are utterly privileged to spend time with the Dweck family on a regular basis. We could hardly believe that two years has flown by since Isaac’s Bar Mitzvah, but this time it was Aaron’s time to shine: his coming of age in the Jewish religion.
Aaron is a sweet and sensitive boy, a real ‘Mensch’ who is clearly adored by his siblings and who makes his parents very proud. This was his time to read from the Torah in front of the entire congregation at the beautiful Lauderdale Road Synagogue, and one could feel the love in the room. Since Rabbi Joseph Dweck took up the position of Senior Rabbi to the Sephardi Community in the UK along with his awesome wife Margalit, their five children have in essence become children of the community… everyone loving them like their own, affectionately pinching their cheeks and asking how they’re doing at school.
In a show of respect, so many Rabbis were in attendance to share this ‘Simcha’ with the family. Indeed it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces.
We wish Aaron and his family a huge Mazal Tov, they should all go from strength to strength and continue to be such an enriching and inspirational presence in London. Here are a few of our favourite images from the morning…
